Press Uncuffed is a student-powered organization, researching and advocating for imprisoned journalists around the world. It was the brain-child of Dana Priest, myself and other graduate students at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Press Uncuffed has raised much-needed funds for the Committee to Protect Journalists through the sale of symbolic, cuff bracelets. I served as a Campaign Director in the first two years of its existence. To this day, Professor Priest and her students continue to investigate censorship and disinformation at home and abroad.
